Marketing Materials and Print Production for Lumière Art at Night Festival in Sydney, N.S.
Lumière Art at Night Festival is a free, annual celebration of contemporary arts in Cape Breton and across Canada. Lumière takes audience engagement to new levels with installations, performances, and more all set-up throughout Downtown Sydney. Each year a new visual artist creates an original piece that is used as the face of the event. The theme for the 2018 event was Erosion, in reference to the “dual and unique character of Unama’ki (Cape Breton Island) by inviting artists to consider its place both within and beyond the boundaries of Unama’ki, Mi’kma’ki, and Turtle Island. Issues of identity, place, and exchange at the edge were some of the suggested topics for artists and community groups to engage with for this year’s Lumière theme of Erosion.”
”Jacqueline was incredible to work with. She's a true professional that immediately inspired trust, but with a laid back attitude that also instantly put me at ease. Right from our first conversation I knew she'd do a great job. Communication is key with print production and design and she delivered every time! So patient, clear, and quick to respond to daily requests. I could not have done what I was tasked to do without her. Aesthetically, I love her style. “ - Melissa Kearney, Festival Coordinator
A list of marketing materials was provided to create and implement at various stages leading up to and after the event. Coordination with the Festival Organizer, Melissa Kearney, and some other team members was frequent to meet multiple deadlines for printing and production.
The 50-page Guidebook, along with digital graphics, social graphics, and various promotional items were created in-time to distribute and promote the celebrated cultural event. It was such a pleasure to work with the dedicated team to learn about the different artists and their incredible contributions.
