The Art of the Tarot Exhibition Call was to interpret a card from the Traditional Tarot Deck. After shuffling my deck the second card in the Major Arcana fell out, the High Priestess. I have been fascinated by thresholds, doorways, and portals for a while now so this was the perfect opportunity to experiment with a portrait that conveys the deeper meanings offered with this card design.

The ‘ The High Priestess; Guardian of the Threshold ‘ was exhibited and the piece sold at Grey Gallery in Owen Sound, Ontario from June 24 - July 29, 2023.
